What a summer it’s been! We’re 24 weeks deep into the second Pikes On Sundays season and we only have 3 more weeks left! So what does that mean? That means only 3 more weeks to listen to the finest music you will ever hear. 3 more weeks to fill yourself full of yorkshire puddings. 3 more weeks to dive headlong into Sunny’s boudoir. 3 more weeks to shake off last night’s hangover with a bloody-mary by the pool. 3 more weeks to tell Mika how much he looks like Freddie Mercury. 3 more weeks to find the missing sheep! 3 more weeks to summersault from room 39 (definitely not condoned by us and you really shouldn’t do it). 3 more weeks to cover your face in gravy and only 3 more weeks to come and hang out with Peter Podenco, Rascal Raccoon, Francis Bacon and the rest of the gang.
This week we’ve got arguably the best selection of DJs the island has seen since sliced bread. Our favourite Kiwi Brydie Tong is back for her second performance of the summer, as are Dirty Pop and Guy Williams. Dave Chambers is back for our second season and returns pretty much a year to the day to celebrate his wedding anniversary with us and it’s a Pikes On Sundays debut for Tayo! If that wasn’t enough your favourite residents The Brothers Grim are on hand all day to ply you with amazing music and witty anecdotes. A treat for the ears and for the eyes we’re sure you’ll agree.
With October’s autumnal hues setting in and the cooler weather returning after a rather sticky September the prospect of a roast dinner seems even more appealing. Gravy always seems to taste better without a sweaty brow! We are taking bookings for the final weeks and with only 3 sundays left there aren’t that many potatoes left! If you can’t make any of the next three sundays do not fear as the following week there’s something afoot too. On Monday 31st October The Brothers Grim takeover Pikes for a Halloween horror show. All the details for this event will be released over the next few days but we have been told to expect a frighteningly good lineup and the most pump for your pumpkin to be found anywhere on the island.
